We set up before guests arrive
We arrive early and build a self-contained station: the board, the ice, the oysters, lemons and sauces. We are completely self-sufficient, so there is nothing for your venue or planner to manage.

Cocktail hour
Guests walk out of the ceremony and straight to the bar. We shuck every oyster as it is ordered, talk guests through where it is from, and keep the line moving while you finish photos.

Into the reception
Service runs about 3 hours, so the bar is still going when you make your entrance. Guests get one more round before dinner is served.

How many oysters for a wedding?
About 30% of wedding guests eat oysters, usually 2 to 3 each. 150 oysters covers most weddings up to about 200 guests. Bigger guest list or a crowd that loves oysters? We quote by count.

How long does the oyster bar run at a wedding?
About 3 hours of service. That covers your full cocktail hour and carries into the start of the reception.
How much does a wedding oyster bar cost?
From $780 for 150 oysters with a certified shucker, plus gratuity and tax. Larger weddings are quoted by oyster count.
Our venue has an in-house caterer. Can you still come?
Usually, yes. We are certified and insured, and we send your venue whatever paperwork it asks for. Ask your coordinator early and we will handle the rest.
Do you need anything from our venue?
No. We bring everything we need and run completely self-sufficient, so your venue and caterer have nothing extra to set up or clean.
Can you set up outside or under a tent?
Yes. The station is self-contained, so it works on a patio, in a tent, in a barn or in a ballroom.
Do you travel for weddings outside Hamilton?
Yes. We do weddings across Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Brantford and Toronto. Travel is included within 60 km of Hamilton and quoted beyond that.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have your date. Summer weekends go first. We reply within 24 hours.
